When is the NRL Grand Final 2022?

The game typically takes place in early October, with this year no exception as the date is slated for Sunday, October 2nd. The official kick-off time hasn’t been confirmed just yet but if last year is anything to go by, it will be around 6:30 pm (AEST). Given that tickets for this season decider are hard to obtain and usually cost lots of money, watching the competition decider is a popular alternative, even for those based in NSW.

The game will be broadcast live on Channel Nine, free-to-air of course. Full replays will be available through Fox Sports (via Foxtel and Kayo Sports) straight after the final whistle and the trophy lift – if you can’t see the start of the game.

What channel is the NRL Grand Final on?

Free-to-air channel Nine is many people’s favourite option for watching the NRL Grand Final live in Australia. If you have a TV licence and functional TV, you can access all the action from the comfort of your own home. Nine’s TV coverage is headed by Erin Moran, alongside a commentary team made up of Andrew Johns, Billy Slater, and James Bracey.
